one of the beautiful things about rap is that its listeners value the producers almost as much as the rappers themselves. that’s not something you see in other genres. what’s behind the scenes is just as important and i’m glad people appreciate that.

this is super deep/dramatic, but i felt the need to share
i wanted to know the lyrics to Landslide in spanish, because i have an idea of how it goes, but not completely. and i saw this
“He estado temeroso de cambiar porque construí mi vida alrededor tuyo”
and it kinda hit me. because that says “i’ve been afraid of changing, because i’ve built my life around yours” not you; as in your life. each time i see a new translation or a new cover, it’s nice when people take a spin on the lyrics too. this song is perfect in every way.
p.s. one day i’m going to Aspen, because that’s where she wrote it and maybe i’ll have some kind of self-realization/turning point/epiphany happen to me too.
